About First Congregational Church
Sunday worship is the central offering of this progressive Christian congregation, with services held in person and on Zoom at 10 a.m. The community belongs to the United Church of Christ and welcomes people at different points in their lives and faith. Members gather around scripture, prayer, shared meals, service to neighbors, and work for justice and peace. Community programs include the Southeast Play Group, which meets twice a week for unstructured play and adult conversation. The historic church building is also available to rent for weddings and community meetings. Founded in 1851, the congregation is based in southeast Minneapolis.
