Urban Ecology Center

Outdoor education and nature-based programs connect people with the environment and one another. Students take hands-on classes in science, nature, and sustainability, while community members and volunteers help restore urban ecosystems and remove invasive species. Programs include outdoor recreation throughout the year, with activities such as rock-wall climbing, canoeing, and snowshoeing. Visitors can also explore local parks and the center's buildings. The organization operates three locations: Riverside Park, Washington Park, and Menomonee Valley. Its programs and activities bring people together to learn about nature, engage with parks, and take part in community efforts. The Urban Ecology Center is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
