Adult sailing lessons
Courses cover fundamentals, racing, and cruising skills.
Sailing instruction and shared-fleet access are the core offerings at this community sailing center. Adult programs teach newcomers fundamental sailing with mentor support, then help members develop day-sailing, performance sailing, dinghy, racing, and cruising skills. Kids ages 8 to 18 can learn to sail, and the Kids and Crew program gives families opportunities to sail together. Members can sail center boats on Milwaukee Bay, subject to weather and sailing ratings, and access a fleet of nearly 100 boats. The center also offers outreach programs, including STEM education and sailing expeditions for adults with special needs. Workshops, social activities, and other off-season events keep members connected year-round. Located in Milwaukee, it is a member-driven, not-for-profit organization with scholarships and financial support for sailing programs.
