Community Clothes Closet

Community Clothes Closet began in 1980 with a church group providing a pair of shoes to someone in need. Today, it offers free clothing to people referred by social service agencies. Clients can shop for clothing, outerwear, footwear and accessories, along with towels and bedding. The organization serves people facing a range of needs, including students, older adults, veterans, people experiencing homelessness, and those affected by fires or floods. It also operates a traveling closet that delivers clothing. Donations of clothing and financial contributions support its services, and volunteers can help. Client shopping and donation hours are scheduled on weekdays, including a Monday evening shopping period. The organization serves Northeastern Wisconsin and beyond.
