Literacy Mid-South

Literacy Mid-South provides literacy programs for adults and children in Memphis and across the Mid-South. Its work includes strategies, programs, and access designed to support community literacy and lifelong learning. The organization helps learners of different ages and backgrounds develop critical literacy skills for school, employment, problem-solving, and daily life. It also coordinates collaborative projects with educational organizations and offers ways for adults to participate as tutors, volunteers, and community partners. Adult Learning Program tutor launch sessions and the Tutor901 Foundations Institute support its tutoring activities, while literacy programs and community events extend its work beyond the classroom. Literacy Mid-South serves Memphis and Shelby County through partnerships focused on expanding access to learning opportunities.
