About Kentucky Shakespeare
Live Shakespeare performances are the core offering. The Kentucky Shakespeare Festival presents free, non-ticketed productions in Central Park, alongside Shakespeare in the Parks and Shakespeare in the Libraries tours and indoor productions during the year. School programming includes educational performances, workshops, and interactive tours tied to academic standards. Offerings range from two-actor productions and living history presentations to acting, stage combat, and Renaissance dance workshops. Camps and classes include Camp Shakespeare and Shakespeare Off the Page. Community programs serve groups in settings such as parks, prisons, preschools, and senior centers, with activities exploring conflict resolution, empathy, and communication. Performances, education programs, and community outreach bring this theatrical organization's work to audiences in Louisville and throughout the region.
