School-wide literacy professional development for middle and high scho
CTL's Adolescent Literacy Model is a school-wide professional development program for middle and high schools. The Louisville-based nonprofit works with educators to improve instruction and increase student learning, serving schools and districts directly and through partner organizations. Its offerings include professional learning, leadership development, technical assistance, and program data collection, analysis, and evaluation. Programs span pre-K through post-secondary literacy, English language arts, mathematics, and science, with instructional coaching also among its focus areas. Artful Reading combines literacy and arts through modules with picture books, supplemental texts, art materials, and lesson plans. Basic Facts provides game-based practice and formative assessment for math fact development, while a K-12 program supports preparation for life beyond the classroom.
