The Mighty Oak Academy

Located in Louisville's West End, The Mighty Oak Academy is a private community academy serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Its tuition-free education includes child-centered, multisensory learning, with lessons paced for student development and guided by teachers. Students take part in hands-on activities and real-world learning, alongside curriculum and wellness classes. The school also supports social and emotional development through practiced life skills and daily relationship-building. Small classes and, whenever possible, multi-year guidance with the same teacher are part of its approach. Family partnerships include intentional communication, three parent-teacher conferences each year, volunteer opportunities, and events where caregivers can engage in learning with their children. The academy also provides healthy food, physical health activities, free play, and access to a campus farm and grade-level greenhouse.
