Leadership development for ages 6 to 26, rooted in identity exploratio
Youth leadership and community support programs are central to SIPA's work. Its Cultural Roots & Leadership program serves young people ages 6 to 26 through leadership development rooted in Filipino and BIPOC identity exploration. The Support, Access, Navigation, & Agency program takes a holistic approach to mental health, well-being, basic needs, healing, and resource access. SIPA also works in cultural placemaking, small business support, and affordable housing. Its programs and initiatives serve the multi-racial community of Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles, drawing on Filipino American values and community collaboration. The organization also hosts a youth-centered annual conference featuring workshops, speakers, and wellness offerings focused on activism, leadership, and community healing.
