Hollywood Food Coalition

In Los Angeles, Hollywood Food Coalition is a community services organization working to address food insecurity through meals and food rescue. It serves a chef-prepared dinner every night of the year to anyone who joins, with no barriers or bureaucracy for dinner guests. Local organizations are also invited to provide wellness and other supportive services on-site. Through its Community Exchange program, the coalition rescues surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, and other sources, then distributes it to more than 200 community-based organizations across Los Angeles. The organization also mobilizes with partners during emergencies to provide meals to displaced and vulnerable Angelenos. Volunteers can help prepare or serve meals, rescue food, donate food, organize food drives, or contribute as a company or group.
