About Grimes Mill Winery
Located in Lexington, Kentucky, Grimes Mill Winery is a family-run winery producing handcrafted wines, mostly from grapes grown on its farm in Fayette County. The vineyard grows several varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Moscato. Wines are hand fermented and bottled. Visit the tasting room for a tasting of three wines selected from the wine list, served with a souvenir glass. The winery also hosts cooking classes, barrel tastings, chocolate and wine pairings, and other events throughout the year. Guests can enjoy wine by the glass during Friday happy hours, and the farm has bocce courts with leagues and tournaments. The tasting room is open Friday through Sunday. Food is not served, though a light cheese appetizer is offered.
