About JP KidsArts
Afterschool programming runs Monday through Friday from September to June, following the Boston Public School schedule. JP KidsArts is a community-based nonprofit arts program in Jamaica Plain, founded in 1986 by local artists and community members. It offers children visual and performing arts instruction through afterschool programming, summer sessions, and February and April vacation week programs. Teaching artists create spaces for children to explore and make art while building connections in the community. The organization became a parent-managed cooperative in 1994 and was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1995. Its program operates inside First Church JP.
