I'm A Star Foundation

Free leadership trainings for middle and high school students in Jacksonville are one offering from I'm A Star Foundation. The organization serves students ages 12-18, described as smart, talented, and resilient, who create solutions to improve their communities. Its programs center on leadership and service, with students taking part in youth advocacy, including work on mental health issues. Students have created mental health toolkits for Duval County Public Schools and traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for youth mental health solutions. The foundation also hosts community events, including the JaxHELPS Celebrity Basketball Game, which raises funds to benefit unhoused students, and Let's Move Jacksonville, a field day focused on health, fitness, and self-care. Its activities give young people opportunities to engage with community issues and take part in service projects.
