About Crystal Springs Foundation
An environmental education nonprofit. Founded in 2002, Crystal Springs Foundation provides hands-on learning about science and Florida's natural resources for students in grades 3 through college, along with lifelong learning opportunities. Programs take place at Crystal Springs Preserve, a private 530-acre nature preserve with a second magnitude spring system in the Hillsborough River Springshed. Students explore the preserve and its native plants, wildlife, and ecosystems through educational programs, including freshwater chemistry and biodiversity activities. The foundation also offers classes and resources for learners of different ages. Its work centers on conservation and stewardship of Florida's natural resources, using the preserve as an outdoor learning environment.
