Peer mentoring
One-on-one mentoring for breast cancer survivors.
Breast cancer support is the core service of this grassroots nonprofit. Pink Ribbon Connection provides one-on-one peer mentoring for survivors and emotional support and resources for people touched by breast cancer. Free supplies include wigs, hats, prostheses and bras, along with resource packets, a library of clinical, health and wellness information, and referrals to community and cancer organizations. The organization distributes a monthly Pink Letter and holds breast cancer and wellness-focused sessions and classes. It also shares information through health fairs and information sessions. Founded in 2006, Pink Ribbon Connection serves breast cancer survivors and the wider Indiana breast cancer community from Indianapolis.
