Board-certified emergency medicine physicians and a medical team evaluate urgent illnesses and injuries, including head trauma, chest or abdominal pain, broken bones, respiratory issues, heart attacks, and strokes. Patients can walk in at any time for assessment and treatment. On-site imaging and laboratory testing support emergency diagnosis, and Covid-19 PCR and antibody tests are available when a physician evaluation determines testing is needed. Care includes a nurse assessment followed by examination by an emergency medicine physician. The facility is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It is located in Houston's Medical Center, across from Hermann Park.
