Football meets bowling
Fowling is played by throwing a football at ten bowling pins.
The first Fowling Warehouse opened in Hamtramck in December 2014. Fowling combines football and bowling: players throw a football at ten bowling pins, following rules that include Fair Ups, Overtime and Sudden Death. The venue brings together Fowling lanes, seating and space for guests to eat, drink and socialize. It also has two 45-foot bars and an arcade area. Guests can bring their own food or arrange delivery or catering. Fowling Warehouse hosts charitable fundraising events through its Fowlanthropy program. The game began as a one-lane mashup during tailgating at the 2001 Indy 500, created by Chris Hutt and friends, and became the focus of a gathering place in Hamtramck.
