Mobility device drive
Collects donated crutches and other mobility devices.
Collects donated crutches and other mobility devices for delivery to people in need in Africa. Donations come from individuals, clubs, schools, and community groups, with collection arrangements coordinated according to donors' locations. The project gathers and stores devices, then transports them across states and overseas for distribution. Deliveries have reached African cities and rural villages, as well as clinics and hospitals, and devices are also given directly to people encountered during the project's travels. The project has delivered mobility devices since 2006. Crutches 4 Africa is an international project of the Mountain Foothills Rotary Club D5450, based in Denver. It also invites community members to help collect devices, provide covered storage, fundraise, or sponsor the effort.
