Youth drop-in center
Provides a safe place and immediate access to basic needs.
A drop-in center provides immediate support to youth ages 14-24 experiencing homelessness. Young people can access food, clothing, hygiene items, laundry facilities, showers, and a safe place to be. Services also connect them with therapy, case management, housing, transportation, health care, employment and education resources, addiction services, legal aid, government benefits, and ID cards. Star House also jointly owns and operates Carol Stewart Village, an affordable neighborhood for young adults ages 18-24 who are exiting homelessness. The village has on-site programs and services and serves college-age youth in Central Ohio. The Columbus organization also hosts continuous best-practice research at its drop-in center.
