Photography workshops
Meetings include workshops, guest speakers, and shoot-and-shows.
Photography club meetings are the core offering, with sessions featuring print and digital image competitions, guest speakers, workshops, shoot-and-shows, and photo excursions. The club meets on Tuesday evenings from September through June, in person or virtually via Zoom; in-person gatherings are typically held near 55th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Members share photography knowledge across a range of experience levels, and the club occasionally arranges summer field trips. It also photographs select events for the Washington Park District and works with local organizations. Founded in 1955, the Washington Park Camera Club is a community of African American photographers in Chicago. Annual membership is available for $60.
