Manifold Chicago

Manifold creates handmade metal furniture, sculpture, and accessories through its Chicago studio and showroom. Its work combines art and design with functional objects, including furniture, lighting, bookends, and sculptural pieces. The team explores welding fabrication through formal and technical experimentation, using refined joints and uniquely patinated surfaces shaped by the natural qualities of metal. Products are designed and produced in-house, maintaining a direct connection between the workshop and showroom. The studio also develops collections that bring tactile, sculptural elements into home environments. Manifold was established in 1999 and is co-owned and operated by Ross and Elizabeth Fiersten, whose backgrounds in architecture, sculpture, art, design, and metalworking inform the studio's work. The business is located on North Ravenswood Avenue in Chicago.
