Latino Union of Chicago

In Chicago, Latino Union of Chicago is a community and social services organization supporting day laborers, household workers, and other contracted workers. It builds worker power through education, organizing, advocacy, and coalition building. The organization operates the Albany Park Workers' Center, which serves as a hiring hall, education site, and cultural hub on Chicago's Northwest side. Its programming includes workshops, classes, events, and community news. Latino Union also provides information about worker rights, OSHA protections, immigration raids, and sexual violence resources. Founded by women temporary workers in 2000, the organization has worked on workplace protections, immigrant rights, and policies affecting temporary workers across Illinois.
