About Jardincito
In Chicago, Jardincito is a community garden protected through NeighborSpace, a nonprofit urban land trust that sustains gardens managed by community groups. The garden offers neighborhood outdoor space. NeighborSpace supports protected sites with property ownership, basic liability insurance, water access, stewardship support, and technical assistance, while community groups lead local management. Its broader resources include project planning, education, tool lending, fundraising support, troubleshooting, and stewardship mini grants.
