Depaul Hope Social Center

DePaul Hope Social Center is a registered nonprofit organization providing social services focused on widow empowerment and support for their children. Its programs include counseling, microloans, legal referrals, computer skills training, vocational training, seminars, widows' forums, scholarships, and educational support. The organization also supports widows affected by HIV/AIDS and provides free medical care and aid to women generally. DePaul Hope Social Center was established by Rev. Fr. Jacob Ugwoke, CM, in Chicago, and operates programs across Nigeria through its Vincentian Province of Nigeria ownership. The center reports serving 360 clients. Its work centers on practical assistance, social advocacy, education, and economic empowerment for widows and families connected to them.
