Cure Violence

Cure Violence Global is a community violence intervention organization working to reduce violence through public health and community-based approaches. Its model treats violence like a health issue and centers trained credible messengers who understand their neighborhoods. The organization provides training and technical assistance to help cities build local skills, relationships, and capacity for violence intervention. It has worked with communities worldwide for 25 years and supports efforts to bring the model to additional communities. Cure Violence also shares resources, public education, and opportunities for community members to support violence prevention. The organization is based in Chicago and works with cities nationwide and internationally.
