A Chicago nonprofit furniture organization. The Chicago Furniture Bank connects residents with extra furniture to individuals and families without it, providing furnishing packages for homes. Available items include beds, couches, armchairs, dressers, desks, tables, kitchen chairs, dishware, rugs, lamps, artwork, and mirrors. The organization accepts furniture donations through scheduled pickups or drop-offs at its location. It also operates Honest Junk Company, a 501(c)(3) junk removal service offering full-service removal and a repurpose program. Corporate and university decommissioning services cover hotels, residence halls, campus buildings, offices, and other facilities in Chicagoland and across the country. Volunteers can support its work with more than 500 nonprofit partners serving Chicago residents.
