Community Christian Alternative Academy

Community Christian Alternative Academy is a small, private, non-denominational high school serving non-traditional students ages 16-21 who have completed eighth grade. Its educational program leads to a high school diploma and includes competency-based education, flexible schedules, extracurricular activities, counseling, case management, and youth development mentors. Students can access dual credit college courses, career training, internships, post-secondary planning, and cultural courses. The school also offers urban agriculture and sustainability activities involving beekeeping, food forests, gardens, and aquaponics. Facilities include science and computer labs, while supportive services address academic, social, and life skills for higher education, vocational training, or employment. The school is located in Chicago's North Lawndale Community.
