Br. David Darst Center

Located in Chicago, the Br. David Darst Center is a community center providing social justice retreats and immersion experiences rooted in the Lasallian tradition and Catholic Social Teaching. Its Urban Immersion Retreat serves students from eighth grade through higher education, adults, youth, and young adults through reflection, dialogue, and encounters with partner organizations and people affected by institutional harm. Virtual programming offers justice education, critical reflection, experiential learning, and workshops for students, schools, church members, and other participants. The center also provides space for events and meetings, with tours available. Programs address injustice, its root causes, and ways to take action through education, partnerships, and community engagement.
