CircEsteem

CircEsteem is a Chicago nonprofit community service organization using circus arts as a social intervention for youth. Its programs help young people develop confidence, agency, teamwork, trust, and emotional resilience while building a sense of belonging. Activities are designed to be inclusive, with expectations for kindness, respect, and teamwork, and trained staff provide mentorship focused on youth well-being. CircEsteem also addresses harmful behavior constructively and encourages participants to celebrate their identities. Financial aid is available to eligible students so circus programs can remain accessible regardless of family income. Community members can support the organization through donations, volunteering, tutoring, performance support, or careers ranging from acrobatics to accounting.
