Healthcare research and educational programs are the core offerings of this nonprofit institute. The Center for Healthcare Innovation studies health equity, healthcare disparities, and obstacles to care through independent, primary research and objective analysis. It also hosts educational events for global healthcare innovators and convenes practitioners, policymakers, providers, patients, and other healthcare participants around shared challenges. Programs include examining health equity definitions, frameworks, metrics, trends, and best practices for underserved groups. The institute advises and mentors leaders and organizations on strategic healthcare and health equity challenges, while developing ideas for policymakers. Its work addresses differences in health outcomes connected to socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender, geography, income, and other social determinants.
