A community center serving Buffalo's East Side. Since 1994, King Urban Life Center has provided free programming for families, children, and neighborhood residents. Its ParentChild+ Program includes twice-weekly home visits from a trained specialist, along with books and toys that support early learning and caregiver engagement. The STEAM After-School Program provides a safe place for homework, hands-on activities, and partnerships across Buffalo. Family Fun Fridays are free monthly gatherings featuring dinner, entertainment, and activities for all ages. The center also preserves and uses its historic building to support educational, economic, and social change in the neighborhood. It is located at 938 Genesee Street in Buffalo and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm.
