About Tiger Strikes Asteroid New York
In Brooklyn, Tiger Strikes Asteroid New York is an artist-run exhibition space within a nonprofit network of independently programmed galleries. It presents visual art exhibitions and artist-initiated projects. Shows are curated independently at each location, with programming exchanges and shared resources connecting the New York space to the network's locations in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Greenville. The organization also provides curatorial opportunities and artist residencies. Its exhibition program creates opportunities for artists to show work and exchange ideas, including work by artists at different career stages and voices that are underrepresented. The New York location's current exhibition is "Rock, Stone, Steel and Rope," scheduled from August 22 to September 27, 2026.
