Hands-on science
Programs explore science through experiments and activities.
Fall sessions include Super Sleuths, Crazy Kitchen Chemistry, Dinosaur Uproar, and the Science of Magic. The Tiny Scientist offers hands-on, standards-aligned science programs for children, with after-school sessions at schools and neighborhood locations in Brooklyn. Activities explore chemistry, physics, earth science, and biology while encouraging children to question, experiment, analyze, and collaborate. Kids make projects to take home, and sessions include outdoor time. The programs also provide parent cheat sheets to encourage science conversations at home. Locations include South Slope, Central Slope, Greenpoint, and Sunset Park, with some programs held on-site at schools. Registration and schedules vary by program and location.
