Ancient Song, Inc (formerly Ancient Song Doula Services)

A birth justice organization. Ancient Song provides direct doula services for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting families, including low-income people of color, regardless of their ability to pay. It trains community members to become full-spectrum doulas and distributes resources to doulas and community members. The organization also offers evidence-based education on birth and reproductive justice, along with community education on related issues. Its advocacy work supports comprehensive policy change addressing racial and income inequities in birth outcomes, maternal mortality, and infant mortality. Ancient Song serves families nationally while operating in Brooklyn and works within reproductive justice and birth justice frameworks.
