Communities In Schools of Chicago

A Chicago nonprofit providing community and social services for young people. Communities In Schools of Chicago connects public schools and students with resources, relationships, and opportunities that support academic progress, graduation, and college enrollment. Student Supports Managers work with students in grades K-12, creating plans to develop skills and access needed resources. The organization also connects schools with community programs addressing their individual needs. Support extends to students and families facing poverty, community violence, mental health challenges, and learning loss, with services intended to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond. Programs include one-on-one support, resource connection, family partnerships, arts and culture field trips, and resource fairs linking schools with essential programs.
