In Brooklyn, Joe's Pizza is a pizza restaurant serving classic New York slices. The business was established in 1975 by Joe Pozzuoli, originally from Naples, Italy. Its story began at the corner of Bleecker and Carmine streets in Greenwich Village, and the restaurant later moved three doors down to 7 Carmine Street. Joe Pozzuoli continues to own and operate it. The menu offering described here is the classic New York street slice, served at the restaurant. Joe's Pizza has been a Greenwich Village fixture for more than 47 years, drawing both local New Yorkers and visitors.
