About this location: 3714 Main St
Houston's Continental Club opened in 2000 in a historic building on Main Street, extending the venue's history beyond its original Austin location. The club presents live music and entertainment, with a focus on bands and musical performances. The Austin venue, established in 1955, became known for roots, rockabilly, country, swing, rock, and blues music. Houston's location is part of the club's presence in the Midtown area. The Continental Club operates as a live music venue rather than a theater production company, offering an intimate club setting for performances. Its history is connected to the Austin club, which began as a private supper club before becoming a music destination. The website describes both locations as offering live music and entertainment.
