Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland

Based in Baltimore, the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland is a nonprofit federation of 80 garden clubs with about 2,800 members across five districts. It supports clubs and educates the public about horticulture, conservation, and landscape design. Education is central to its work. Members take part in floral design, garden study, historic preservation, environmental activities, and young gardeners groups. The federation also awards scholarships and works to protect natural resources, improve roadsides and parks, and create civic beauty. Its programs connect garden clubs throughout Maryland, from the Eastern Shore to Western Maryland. The organization is part of the Central Atlantic Region of National Garden Clubs. Its Baltimore office is located at the Vollmer Center at Cylburn Arboretum.
