Neighboring Movement

A community and social services organization. Neighboring Movement helps neighbors discover and connect their strengths, then mobilize them to create change in their neighborhoods. Its work focuses on social connection as a foundation for health and well-being, with an asset-based approach that draws on the skills and relationships already present in each community. The organization shares practical ways of neighboring with individuals, churches, and civic organizations. It also nurtures gifts-focused connections and neighbor-centered leadership, with a commitment to justice and inclusion across differences in background, identity, ability, faith, and circumstance. The organization began within the Christian tradition and works with people from religious, non-religious, and nominally religious backgrounds.
