About Takoma Children's School
Takoma Children's School is a preschool. It serves children ages 2 to 5 and their families in Washington, with part-time through full-day options throughout the year. The program is play-based and inspired by the Reggio approach, using play and exploration to support creativity and a love of learning. Children spend an entire calendar year in their classroom, building relationships over that time. Teachers and staff foster social, emotional, physical, and thinking skills while recognizing each child's unique needs and contributions. The school also emphasizes reflecting and celebrating the diversity of its community. Families may arrange an adults-only tour to learn about the school. Enrollment applications are available for the 2026-2027 school year.
