Monthly Jobs Day Analysis examines Bureau of Labor Statistics employment numbers and what they mean for Black workers. The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies is a Washington-based policy research organization focused on political and economic issues affecting Black communities. Its work includes research and policy analysis on labor markets, tax policy, wealth, workforce issues, technology policy, and diversity in government. The organization publishes briefs, reports, and a Black Policy Playbook with recommendations and updates addressing policy priorities. It also convenes policymakers, researchers, advocates, and community leaders through events such as its annual Future of Black Communities Summit and national economic roundtables. Its studies cover both economic and political topics, with analysis intended to inform public discussion and policy.
