The DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative is a member service organization supporting cultural institutions, individual practitioners, and related professionals in advancing equitable access to arts and humanities learning. It offers education program support, professional development workshops, and collective impact efforts. As a conduit organization, it provides professionals with resources, knowledge, and networks to help them engage and educate public school students in Washington, DC. The Collaborative also involves its community in decision-making and uses conversations, surveys, and other data strategies to evaluate and improve its support. Founded in 1998, it has engaged more than 750,000 students across all eight DC wards, including students in public charter schools. Its members represent cultural institutions and individual practitioners throughout the DC region.
