American Association of Geographers

The American Association of Geographers supports a worldwide community of geographers through membership, professional resources, events, and advocacy. Members can access career opportunities, interest groups, mentoring, and ways to share their work. The association organizes an annual meeting and regional division meetings, creating opportunities for geographers to connect and participate in the discipline. It also supports geography programs at community colleges and offers resources for faculty and students. Student travel funding helps students attend the annual meeting, present research, and connect with other geographers. Advocacy tools help members raise their voices on issues affecting geography. The association is based in Washington.
