About The Bunny Hutch
The Bunny Hutch is an animal rescue nonprofit in Virginia Beach. Its work has included caring for exotic animals, rescue and surrender support, adoption education, and responsible pet ownership information. The organization offers animal care fact sheets and educational programming, including a Zookeeper For A Day experience for ages 8 through 21, with hands-on activities involving enclosures, diets, grooming areas, exams, and behavior training. Volunteers support animal care and events, while donations help continue the rescue mission. The shelter closed in 2020, and the organization stated that its educational work would continue. It does not currently adopt out animals but can recommend local resources for adoption inquiries.
