In University City, the Municipal Library Consortium of St. Louis County is a network of nine independently operated community and public libraries. A library card from one member library provides access across the consortium to a shared collection of more than 1.3 million titles, although collections and policies may vary by location. Members include University City Public Library and libraries in Brentwood, Ferguson, Kirkwood, Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, Valley Park, and Webster Groves. The consortium also provides access to digital library resources through services including Hoopla, Kanopy, and OverDrive. It participates in Missouri Evergreen, a statewide sharing consortium of more than 80 public libraries. Library cards are obtained through a local member library.
