Originate Natural Building Materials

Originate was established in October 2003 as a Tucson source for environmentally sound building materials. Its offerings include American Clay plaster, natural linoleum flooring, hardwood flooring, glass tile, and recycled glass countertops. The store also stocks limited in-stock Vetrazzo and IceStone countertop slabs for smaller renovation projects. Wood tile is another option, with Zena Edgegrain made from local-to-the-Pacific-Northwest wood that may be FSC certified, tribally sourced, or salvaged from forest-harvesting waste. Materials are available for residential and commercial projects. Originate has collaborated with individuals, businesses, and craftspeople by sourcing materials, consulting, or designing for local projects. Customers can request a basic materials estimate. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are recommended for detailed project discussions. The store is on the southeast corner of First Street and Main Avenue, one block south of Speedway.
