Truckee Branch Library

This is a public library. It offers books and community resources, including story time, literacy programs, book clubs, Wi-Fi, and access to technology. The library also provides space for meetings, co-working, research, and community events and workshops. Programs for youth include homework help and after-school learning. The current facility has limited space for programs, study areas, quiet reading, and meetings. Friends of the Truckee Library advocates for the current library and supports a campaign to build a larger, modern facility. The proposed library is envisioned as a community hub for connection, creativity, and collaboration, with more room for resources, technology, and services. Plans place it in Truckee River Regional Park, near the Legacy Trail and a bus stop, and include a role as a community resource during emergencies.
