Toledo Area Sanitary District

Mosquito control is the focus of the services provided by this public district. Residents can request nighttime fogging, while inspections identify standing water with mosquito larvae for treatment before the insects become adults. The district also addresses blocked ditches and streams that can hold water and support breeding. Mosquitofish delivery is available for approved ornamental ponds belonging to Lucas County residents. Other services include removal of above-ground pools identified as public health concerns and pickup of scrap tires that can create mosquito habitat. Staff also offer educational presentations to local organizations, schools, and community groups.
