Leading Families Home

Emergency family shelter is available through Beach House, which accepts families and single women referred by 211. Leading Families Home is a Toledo nonprofit serving families through emergency shelter, housing programs, behavioral health and case management services. Its resources also include education, employment services, and the Providence Project, which supports economic and social empowerment. Participants can continue receiving behavioral health support after securing housing, while the organization helps families work toward independence and economic stability. Leading Families Home has been part of Lucas County's Continuum of Care and reports serving 292 families and 619 children in 2025. The organization also provides ways to donate, volunteer, and participate in fundraising events.
