John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government

The John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government provides continuing education through live webinars, in-person instruction, and a 24/7 on-demand Learning Community. It also offers technical assistance to state and local governments and community organizations through a statewide network that combines university faculty and practitioner expertise. Training includes ethics, sunshine and public records requirements, parliamentary procedure, election signature verification, professional education, and leadership certification. The Institute conducts applied research and supports projects such as economic development assistance. Established in 1981, it operates through affiliated offices at Florida State University, the University of Florida, the University of Central Florida, the University of South Florida, and Florida Atlantic University. Its executive office is at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
